Job summary

Yates Construction is seeking a Field Project Controls professional to support on-site financial and operational activities. You will assist the Lead Field Controller by managing vendor and trucker accounts payable, entering owner estimates, and tracking weekly quantities to help ensure budget integrity and timely cash flow.

The role involves collaborating with site teams to monitor costs, assist with cost and revenue projections, and provide back-up support to the Job Site Clerk.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of project controls, cost engineering, or heavy field accounting experience.
• Experience in heavy civil, industrial, or large-scale commercial construction preferred.
• Willingness to work outdoors in extreme temperatures.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and post-offer physical.

Responsibilities

• Process vendor payables: review, code, and reconcile invoices against field POs.
• Verify trucker logs, haul tickets, and trucking invoices for payment.
• Assist in entering monthly progress estimates for client billing.
• Log weekly production units and compare to budget baselines.
• Support monthly cost-to-complete and revenue projections with field data.
• Monitor daily labor, equipment, and material cost allocations for variances.
• Provide backup coverage for the Job Site Clerk, including payroll entry and document control.
