Job summary

YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties seeks a Field Coordinator for Tom Taylor Family YMCA in Gig Harbor, WA. This part-time role supports field-based programs, events, and activities, ensuring safety and a positive participant experience.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of youth/sports program experience, be able to work evenings and weekends, and obtain CPR/First Aid/AED certifications, with a starting wage between $20.00 and $20.75 per hour.

Qualifications

• Background and reference checks required by WA State Fair Chance Act.
• Must pass online child abuse prevention training on first day.
• At least 18 years old; 2 years of youth/sports/outdoor programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee field rentals and programs; ensure setup, supervision, and safety.
• Serve as on-site contact for participants, families and staff.
• Coordinate scheduling and attendance using field rental software.
• Monitor safety and document incidents per YMCA protocols.
• Support clinics, camps, and Day Camp programming as directed.
• Maintain supplies and storage for the Sports Complex.
