Job summary

Bayer is seeking a Production Research Intern to assist with research protocols, trial management, and data collection supporting germplasm, trait and chemistry evaluations, agronomic practices, and new technologies for row crop production.

Three site locations exist: Waco, Nebraska; Constantine, Michigan; Farmer City, Illinois. The role emphasizes data management, fieldwork, lab tasks, and collaboration within teams to drive quality research outcomes.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in agronomy, crop science, or a related field.
• Ability to drive between local sites/fields for work and transport to the work site.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines.
• Excellent computer skills related to data acquisition and record keeping.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day activities with the site team.
• Complete assigned field data collection and data management.
• Execute day-to-day lab and field tasks as directed.
• Review data and contribute to site data management.
• Participate in field maintenance and evaluation to ensure high‑quality research.
• Direct and monitor seasonal helpers during the field season.
• Adhere to HSE and QA/QC standards.
• Work effectively in team-based or individual settings.
