Job summary

Bayer seeks a motivated intern to work with a Plant Variety Protection Scientist during summer field trials at the Woodland site. You will collect data on plant characteristics, support field and lab activities, and help ensure data integrity throughout the growing season.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture, Botany, Biology, or Horticulture.
• Proficiency with data input on computers and data management systems.
• Ability to follow calibration guides and work outdoors in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Assess plant parts based on calibration guides to collect high quality, reliable data.
• Input collected data into data management systems using computers or tablets.
• Work with the PVP Scientist to assess plant maturity and ensure timely data collection.
• Perform general laboratory maintenance tasks to support research operations.
• Maintain accurate records of field observations and measurements.
• Follow established protocols for data collection and quality assurance.
