CNH Industrial is seeking an Field Product Performance Validation Engineering Intern in Racine, Wisconsin, to work under engineers and gain hands-on experience with vehicle testing and data acquisition. • Collaborating with stakeholders as a Field/Performance SME to define project scopes, validation plans, and performance targets
• Creating thorough test requests in the CNH Testing System (CTS) with clear procedures and acceptance criteria
• Acting as the voice of the customer by evaluating feature appeal, serviceability, repairability, and overall customer value
• Completing jury evaluations, software evaluations, and reliability tests on pre-production and production tractors
• Executing whole-vehicle lab and field tests (e.g., hydraulic efficiency, drawbar performance, suspension optimization, braking tests)
• Benchmarking competitive equipment to identify improvement opportunities and quantify performance gaps
• Diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing issues while coordinating with SMEs to identify root causes and corrective actions
• Selecting, calibrating, and installing instrumentation and data acquisition equipment for vehicle and subsystem testing
• Collecting and analyzing performance data, identifying trends, and determining whether systems meet specifications and safety/customer requirements
• Documenting results in technical reports, presenting findings to project stakeholders, and driving discussions and solutions

Job Purpose

The Compact and Large Tractor Product Validation group is responsible for testing and validating new products and revisions to current products—serving as the voice of the customer before products are introduced to the global market. This team ensures Case IH and New Holland tractors meet performance, safety, quality, and customer expectations, while also supporting validation efforts across other CNH product lines such as 4WD tractors, compact tractors, and sprayers.

As a Field Product Performance Validation Engineering Intern, you will work as a full team member under the mentorship of experienced engineers, gaining hands-on experience with vehicle testing, data acquisition, and performance validation.

Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities may include:

• Collaborating with stakeholders as a Field/Performance Subject Matter Expert (SME) to define project scopes, validation plans, and performance targets

• Creating thorough test requests in the CNH Testing System (CTS) with clear procedures and acceptance criteria

• Acting as the voice of the customer by evaluating feature appeal, serviceability, repairability, and overall customer value

• Completing jury evaluations, software evaluations, and reliability tests on pre-production and production tractors

• Executing whole-vehicle lab and field tests (e.g., hydraulic efficiency, drawbar performance, suspension optimization, braking tests)

• Benchmarking competitive equipment to identify improvement opportunities and quantify performance gaps

Intern Program Overview:

Our internship and co‑op programs provide mentorship, training, hands‑on experience, and growth opportunities that empower students to explore their career paths with confidence. Through competitive wages, networking events, social and volunteer activities, professional development workshops, and housing support, we strive to deliver one of the best internship experiences—designed to develop and inspire the talent of tomorrow. Summer interns work full‑time (40 hours per week) from May through August. Candidates must be currently enrolled college students actively pursuing a degree to participate in the internship program.

Pay Transparency

The annual salary for this role is USD$19.57 - $27.81 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)
