Job summary

Tactacam seeks a versatile Field Producer & Editor for its DEFEND content engine. You will travel to construction sites, farms, ranches, and events to document real people and work, producing authentic content across platforms.

You will shoot, edit, and deliver short-form content, develop recurring series, and collaborate with the content team to support campaigns and product priorities. Travel and field presence are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years producing and editing video or social-first content for a brand or agency.
• Independent shooting and editing polished content; comfortable with cameras, audio, lighting, drones.
• Proficiency in professional editing software (Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro) or similar.
• Strong instincts for social-first storytelling with attention-grabbing openings and demonstrations.
• Experience interviewing nonprofessional talent and putting real customers at ease.
• Willingness to travel frequently to job sites, farms, ranches, trade shows, and customer locations.
• Excellent organization and communication; manage media, files, deadlines, and handoffs.

Responsibilities

• Produce and capture authentic DEFEND content in the field at customer sites, jobsites, farms, ranches, trade shows and events.
• Own shoots from prep to delivery; plan story angles, coordinate logistics, secure releases, interview customers, and edit deliverables.
• Create native short-form content for platforms like Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and paid social.
• Help develop recurring DEFEND content series and adapt content for multiple channels.
• Edit a high volume of content into formats for social, product education, and evergreen use.
• Collaborate with Head of Content and broader team to ensure assets support campaigns and priorities.
• Capture lower-funnel and educational content to show DEFEND's fit and value.
• Review performance data to improve future content; learn from metrics.
• Maintain an organized library of raw footage, final edits, and releases.
• Represent DEFEND professionally in the field with customers and tradespeople.
