Job summary

LAM RESEARCH Corporation is seeking a Field Process Engineer in Hillsboro, OR to support customer sites with process optimization, DOE studies, and experimental design. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers to address process needs, analyze data, and propose improvements.

The role involves on-site and remote work in a hybrid model, with opportunities to mentor junior engineers and contribute to process innovations for Lam’s customers.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in data analysis tools, word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, and customer relationship skills.
• Ability to work in a cleanroom environment with PPE; on-call if needed.
• SPC and/or DOE knowledge is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide process support at customer sites and improve productivity.
• Conduct DOE evaluations to characterize process windows for installations.
• Design and conduct experiments, analyze data, report results, and provide recommendations.
• Develop new processes for small variants to existing applications.
• Manage projects: planning, defining problems, developing approaches, and giving recommendations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers to meet needs and roadmaps.
• Represent Lam to customers and deliver technical/materials with a win-win mindset.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical instruction.
