Qualifications

  • Two years of correctional experience in social casework involving classification, assessment or field supervision, or a master’s degree in listed fields for one year.
  • Willingness to travel and valid driver’s license; subject to drug testing and peace-officer requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Manages a caseload of adult felons, performs criminogenic risk/need assessments, and supports transition planning.
  • Refers offenders to treatment programs to target criminogenic needs and monitors progress.
  • Assists in employment efforts and builds pro-social networks for offenders.
  • Conducts investigations (pre-sentence, interstate, pre-pardon, pre-parole) as required.
  • Prepares activity reports and maintains offender documentation and financial obligation payments.
