Job summary

Smartsearchonline is seeking a Power Technician in Sacramento, CA for a contract role. Responsibilities include safely loading and transporting DC power systems to telecom cellular sites, following PPE and lifting guidance, and logging critical battery data. The job requires OSHA 10, RF safety awareness, and CPR certification, plus a valid driver’s license.

Outdoor/indoor work and 6:30am–5:30pm shifts are common. Expect possible 3–4 nights away from town.

Qualifications

• OSHA 10 certification is required.
• RF safety awareness is required.
• CPR certification preferred or required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in safely loading & transporting DC power systems and equipment to telecom cellular sites.
• Understand all safety requirements, including PPE and lifting equipment.
• Move batteries safely, in and out of a site.
• Secure loads on the vehicle properly.
• Prepping battery inter-cell connectors with No-ox.
• Assemble nuts and bolts in correct order and orientation.
• Prepare battery racks for installation.
• Dig trenches for AC & DC conduits.
• Log birth and death serial number information.
