Job summary

Wayne-Sanderson Farms is seeking a Live Production Technician to travel between grower farms, performing routine tests, weights, and samples. You will vaccinate flocks and monitor environmental conditions, reporting non-compliant practices to the appropriate personnel.

The role requires strong English communication, animal-handling skills, and the ability to work non-standard shifts and travel between locations. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with an associate degree preferred.

• Live poultry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical well-being tests on poultry flocks, record weights, and collect samples.
• Test boots for Salmonella; report positives and maintain grower relations.
• Maintain feed tank inventories and coordinate deliveries to growers.
• Check farm equipment and report issues to growers or company personnel.
• Monitor flocks for non-compliant treatment and report welfare concerns.
• Manage vaccine inventory, temperature monitoring, and delivery to crews.
• Assist in moving pullets to hen houses when needed.
• Follow safety initiatives to maintain a zero-accident culture.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
