Job summary

Turner & Townsend in Texas is seeking a Construction Planner/Scheduler to support a major power generation buildout on site in West Texas. You will update and maintain the construction schedule, coordinating inputs from multiple sources to deliver a master schedule.

The ideal candidate has 10–15 years of oil & gas project experience, strong knowledge of Primavera P6 and risk analysis tools, and a degree in construction-related field. On-site presence with accommodations provided.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or related construction field.
  • Minimum 10 years of applicable experience.
  • Experience in development, preparation, review, baselining of project schedules, with experience in critical path analysis.
  • Experience with scheduling and risk analysis programs such as Primavera P6, Acumen Fuse, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and organize multiple sources of schedule inputs into a master schedule platform and deliver project/program status reports.
  • Develops good working relationships with project team and contractors.
  • Implement project planning and scheduling strategies, reflecting company and contractor roles and expectations.
  • Promote and maintain integration and integrity of contractor schedules within the program schedules.
  • Provide interface and quality assurance to project functional groups and contractors regarding tracking and reporting of schedule performance.
  • Support the project team in implementing an integrated enterprise-based cross-functional master schedule program.
  • Prepare staffing, engineering and construction progress and customized reports.
  • Perform critical path analysis and probabilistic analysis on integrated schedules.

Turner & Townsend is looking for a Construction Planner/Scheduler to join our team to provide scheduling services to our client for a major power generation buildout in West Texas. The ideal individual will have a good understanding of the project control’s function and will be primarily responsible for updating and maintaining the construction schedule.

Responsibilities
  • Ability to coordinate & organize multiple sources of schedule inputs/performance data into a master schedule platform and deliver project/program status reports as required.

  • Provide interface and quality assurance to Project functional groups and contractors regarding the tracking and reporting of schedule performance.
  • Support the project team in the implementation of an integrated enterprise based cross functional and EPC master schedule program.
  • Preparing staffing, engineering and construction progress and customized reports.
  • Perform critical path analysis.
  • Perform probabilistic analysis on integrated schedules and contractor schedules.
  • SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.
Project/Program specifications
  • Project/Program specific responsibilities: This role will work in tandem with other planner/schedulers on our team to support consistent site presence throughout the life cycle of the project. Role will be in rotation on site with accommodations and meals provided; six weeks on, two weeks off.
  • Market sector experience: Large scale Oil & Gas construction experience a must. Preferred candidate will have experience in power generation construction on both the EPC and Owner’s side.
  • Software specific requirements: Must have 10-15 years experience with Primavera P6 scheduling software for large-scale capital projects.
  • Certification requirements: Industry certifications a plus.
