Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Construction Planner/Scheduler to join our West Texas power generation project, delivering scheduling services and maintaining the construction schedule. On-site presence is required, with rotation & accommodations provided.

The ideal candidate possesses 10–15 years of Primavera P6 scheduling experience on large-scale capital projects, strong coordination and communication skills, and familiarity with risk and schedule analysis.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of experience in project scheduling and controls.
• Experience using Primavera P6 for large capital projects.
• Ability to develop, baseline and maintain master schedules with integrated programs.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate inputs from multiple sources into a master schedule and deliver status reports.
• Maintain the integrity of contractor schedules within the program-level schedule.
• Conduct critical path analyses and probabilistic schedule analysis.
• Provide interface and QA for project groups and contractors on schedule tracking.
• Support an enterprise-wide cross-functional master schedule program and reporting.

Turner & Townsend is looking for a Construction Planner/Scheduler to join our team to provide scheduling services to our client for a major power generation buildout in West Texas. The ideal individual will have a good understanding of the project control’s function and will be primarily responsible for updating and maintaining the construction schedule.

Responsibilities

• Ability to coordinate & organize multiple sources of schedule inputs/performance data into a master schedule platform and deliver project/program status reports as required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Develops good working relationships with project team.
• Implement project planning & scheduling strategy, plans and procedures, reflecting both Company and contractor roles, responsibilities and expectations.
• Promote and maintain the overall integration and integrity of contractor schedules within the Program suite of project schedules.
• Provide interface and quality assurance to Project functional groups and contractors regarding the tracking and reporting of schedule performance.
• Support the project team in the implementation of an integrated enterprise based cross functional and EPC master schedule program.
• Preparing staffing, engineering and construction progress and customized reports.
• Perform critical path analysis.
• Perform probabilistic analysis on integrated schedules and contractor schedules.
• SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.

Project/Program specifications

• Project/Program specific responsibilities: This role will work in tandem with other planner/schedulers on our team to support consistent site presence throughout the life cycle of the project. Role will be in rotation on site with accommodations and meals provided; six weeks on, two weeks off.
• Market sector experience: Large scale Oil & Gas construction experience a must. Preferred candidate will have experience in power generation construction on both the EPC and Owner’s side.
• Software specific requirements: Must have 10-15 years experience with Primavera P6 scheduling software for large-scale capital projects.
• Certification requirements: Industry certifications a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or field related to construction.
• Minimum 10 years of applicable experience
• Experience in the development, preparation, review, baselining of project schedules, with experience in critical path analysis.
• Experience with scheduling and risk analysis programs such as Primavera P6, Acumen Fuse, etc.
