Job summary

Refrigeration Design and Service, Inc. is seeking an experienced Pipefitter and Field Supervisor/Foreman to install large industrial refrigeration systems at client sites.

You will lead the crew, lay out pipe from engineering diagrams, and ensure work complies with IIAR piping standards and safety requirements. This role requires strong leadership, site coordination, and the ability to travel up to 10 days for out-of-town projects.

Qualifications

• Ability to properly fit up refrigeration, water, and glycol pipe.
• Read and interpret schematics and blueprints accurately.
• Proficient with Excel, Word, Outlook, AutoCAD, and MS Project.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 10 days for out-of-town projects.

Responsibilities

• Consult blueprints, work orders, schematics; create procedures per specs.
• Understand and interpret flow diagrams and layout drawings.
• Supervise crew and subcontractors for efficient installation.
• Coordinate work of subcontractors across project phases.
• Understand weld procedures and perform quality checks.
• Report and resolve drawing discrepancies to engineering.
• Visualize final pipe path per IIAR standards.
• Complete as-built drawings daily and submit to engineering.
• Prepare material take-offs and place orders.
• Ensure compliance with RD&S, OSHA, and client safety protocols.
• Attend safety meetings and company training; keep logs.
• Travel to job sites; stay out of town up to 10 days.
