Job summary

Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is seeking a Field Insulator to install pipe insulation and jacketing on active construction sites. You will read drawings, apply vapor barriers, and travel for 10-day tours with 10–12 hour shifts.

This role requires at least 2 years of industrial insulation experience, ability to work in extreme temperatures, lift up to 50 pounds, and pass background checks while maintaining safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in industrial pipe insulation.
• Proficient with aluminum and PVC jacketing.
• Able to read insulation schematics.
• Pass pre-employment background check & drug screen.
• Valid driver’s license; travel extensively.
• Work in extreme temperatures in full PPE.
• Lift up to 50 lb regularly (75 lb occasional).
• Stand, bend, crouch, and climb as needed.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, and install pipe insulation for various piping sizes.
• Apply vapor barriers, vapor dams, and secure jacketing.
• Operate bending brakes, band saws, and banding tools.
• Fabricate insulation kits for valves, fittings, and rotating equipment.
• Follow installation drawings, specifications, and site safety requirements.
