WTAE, the ABC affiliate in Pittsburgh, PA, is seeking a Local News Photographer to capture compelling field footage and bring it to viewers. You will shoot, edit, and contribute to newscasts, working with producers to fulfill their creative vision with vivid video and clean sound.

The role requires experience in a newsroom, the ability to lift heavy gear, and proficiency with ENG trucks and Adobe Premiere. Join a team that values journalistic integrity and timely storytelling.

Qualifications

• Training in the art of video photojournalism.
• Professional or college newsroom experience.
• Carry up to 50 pounds of equipment.
• Have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Experience with ENG trucks.
• Must operate digital editing tools (Adobe Premiere).
• Knowledge of CNN platforms.

Responsibilities

• Shooting and editing of VOs, VO-SOTs and packages for broadcast air and online postings.
• Work with the Assignment Desk and Reporters to cover daily stories.
• Shoot on assigned professional camera equipment.
• Edit in Adobe Premiere and use ENG, SNG, and wireless data to feed completed work to the station.
• Gather video and still pictures for digital platforms.
• Produce and publish content to our online platforms.
• Organization and maintenance of gear and equipment.
