Job summary

American Engineering Testing (AET) in St Paul, MN seeks a Pavements Technician to perform field and laboratory QC testing of soils under supervision. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-year vocational or college degree preferred.
• Strong communication skills for client and coworker interaction.
• Ability to work effectively in field settings and in teams.
• Capable of physical labor including hazardous environments with PPE.

Responsibilities

• Assist in laboratory testing of construction materials.
• Use Ground Penetrating Radar Unit (GPR).
• Operate Falling Weight Deflectometer (FWD) and perform field sampling.
• Complete test reports and site observations.
• Coordinate with project managers, clients and contractors.
• Maintain safety policies and drive productivity in the field.
