Job summary

Fabcon in the United States is seeking a Field Patching Crew Member for the Central Region to perform concrete finishing, patching, and general construction labor on precast panels. You will join a crew working Monday–Friday with 7:00 am to 5:00 pm shifts, and you'll help finish panels efficiently and safely.

This role requires construction experience, the ability to follow directions, and the stamina for outdoor work and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Construction experience required; concrete finishing experience preferred.
• Two or more years of construction or manual labor experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to follow verbal instructions and work at heights.
• Ability to travel extensively and perform overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform concrete finishing, patching, and general construction labor necessary to finish precast concrete panels.
• Complete assigned tasks safely and efficiently as part of a patching crew.
• Follow work direction provided by the Patching Crew Foreperson.
• Perform additional construction and field duties as assigned by the foreperson.
• Use materials and supplies efficiently and handle tools and equipment responsibly.
• Follow all established safety policies, procedures, and jobsite requirements.
• Maintain professional conduct and work effectively with crew members and other jobsite personnel.

Field Patching Crew Member – Central Region

Permanent/Full Time, Shift: 7:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday–Friday

To provide concrete finishing, patching, and general construction labor tasks, in an efficient and safe manner, as part of a crew finishing precast concrete panels.

Salary Range: $27–$41/hour

Key Responsibilities

• Perform concrete finishing, patching, and general construction labor necessary to finish precast concrete panels.
• Complete assigned tasks safely and efficiently as part of a patching crew.
• Follow work direction provided by the Patching Crew Foreperson.
• Perform additional construction and field duties as assigned by the foreperson.
• Use materials and supplies efficiently and handle tools and equipment responsibly.
• Follow all established safety policies, procedures, and jobsite requirements.
• Maintain professional conduct and work effectively with crew members and other jobsite personnel.

Requirements

• Construction experience required; concrete finishing experience preferred.
• General knowledge of construction practices; two or more years of construction or manual labor experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to carry out simple and complex verbal instructions.
• Ability to safely work at heights, including from ladders and aerial work platforms.
• Ability to obtain membership in a local union.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• Ability to travel extensively, including overnight travel 50% or more of the time, and work overtime as required.
• Ability to traverse uneven ground, move materials weighing at least 50 pounds, and climb onto flatbed semi-trailers.
• Spatial awareness and depth perception necessary to perform field duties safely.
• Ability to work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions and around dirt, dust, and noise from heavy machinery and vehicles.
• Ability to work well with others and maintain professional conduct.
