Job summary

Fabcon is seeking a Field Patching Crew Member in Michigan for the Central Region to perform concrete finishing, patching, and related labor on precast panels. This permanent, full-time role runs Monday–Friday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, with overtime opportunities.

You will work safely as part of a crew, follow directions from the Patching Crew Foreperson, and help maintain productivity and quality on site. Construction experience is required; union benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Construction experience required; concrete finishing experience preferred.
• Two or more years of construction or manual labor experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to carry out simple and complex verbal instructions.
• Ability to travel extensively, including overnight travel 50%+.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work at heights and climb onto flatbed trailers.

• Perform concrete finishing, patching, and general construction labor to finish precast panels.

Field Patching Crew Member - Central Region

Permanent/Full Time, Shift: 7:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday-Friday

To provide concrete finishing, patching, and general construction labor tasks, in an efficient and safe manner, as part of a crew finishing precast concrete panels.

Salary Range: $27-$41/hour

Key Responsibilities

• Perform concrete finishing, patching, and general construction labor necessary to finish precast concrete panels.
• Complete assigned tasks safely and efficiently as part of a patching crew.
• Follow work direction provided by the Patching Crew Foreperson.
• Perform additional construction and field duties as assigned by the foreperson.
• Use materials and supplies efficiently and handle tools and equipment responsibly.
• Follow all established safety policies, procedures, and jobsite requirements.
• Maintain professional conduct and work effectively with crew members and other jobsite personnel.

Requirements

• Construction experience required; concrete finishing experience preferred.
• General knowledge of construction practices; two or more years of construction or manual labor experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to carry out simple and complex verbal instructions.
• Ability to safely work at heights, including from ladders and aerial work platforms.
• Ability to obtain membership in a local union.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
• Ability to travel extensively, including overnight travel 50% or more of the time, and work overtime as required.
• Ability to traverse uneven ground, move materials weighing at least 50 pounds, and climb onto flatbed semi-trailers.
• Spatial awareness and depth perception necessary to perform field duties safely.
• Ability to work outdoors year-round in all weather conditions and around dirt, dust, and noise from heavy machinery and vehicles.
• Ability to work well with others and maintain professional conduct.
