Job summary

Motorola Solutions in the U.S. Federal Government Markets Division seeks a Patch Manager Field Systems Technologist (FST) for Navy ELMR. This is an on-site role at a military base in Catania, Sicily, Italy, requiring hands-on patching across Windows, RHEL, McAfee, and SQL databases.

You will work with master site teams, maintain DoD clearances, and travel up to 25%. A SOFA status and U.S. citizenship are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree; OR Associate's Degree plus 4 years of specialized experience; OR High School Diploma/GED plus 8 years of specialized experience.
• Experience in IT systems administration and TCP/IP network administration.
• Must possess or be capable of obtaining CompTIA Security+ within 6 months.
• Must possess or be capable of obtaining ETA CETa certification within 6 months.
• Experience with Windows (10/Server), RHEL, and Active Directory administration.
• Hands-on with VMware and KVM virtualization and server hardware (HP ProLiant, iLO, Dell PowerEdge).
• Proficient TCP/IP networking and tools like PuTTY, WinSCP, Remote Desktop.
• Strong multitasking, organizational, and self-management skills.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Implement system and security patch updates for ASTRO updates.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot patching issues in a high-stress enterprise environment.
• Maintain extensive verbal and written communication.
• Assist Master Site FSTs and Engineering teams with daily maintenance across sites.
• Travel up to 25% annually for enterprise system maintenance.
• Obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance (SOFA status).
