Job summary

Massachusetts Voter Table is seeking a Field Organizer to engage partner organizations, plan voter contact activities, and build community power across Massachusetts.

You will support field staff, coordinate with coalitions, and train volunteers, with occasional evenings/weekends and statewide travel. The role emphasizes nonpartisan voter outreach and coalition work within a federated network.

Qualifications

• Experience volunteering or working for a campaign or grassroots non-profit.
• Excellent listening and written/verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage volunteers and coordinate between multiple stakeholders.
• Able to travel regularly throughout the state.

Responsibilities

• Maintain regular contact with partner organizations by phone and email about events and deadlines.
• Plan and manage voter contact events, such as phone banks and canvasses.
• Build relationships with organizers and leaders of partner organizations.
• Communicate progress of goals to partner organizations for accountability.
• Train and manage partner organizational leaders and volunteers.
• Knock on doors and make phone calls.
• Represent MVT in coalitions and working groups as assigned.
• Assist in organizing major projects and events focused on voter equity and rights.
• Provide guidance to organizing fellows and interns.
