Job summary

TSNE MissionWorks is seeking a Field Organizer to engage with partner organizations across Massachusetts, supporting community engagement and capacity building. You will train volunteers, coordinate voter contact events, and represent the Massachusetts Voter Table in coalitions.

The role requires flexibility, strong communication, and a passion for civic engagement. The position involves regular statewide travel, occasional evenings/weekends, and a hybrid work arrangement.

Qualifications

• Experience working for or volunteering with a campaign or grassroots non-profit.
• Experience volunteering or working for a democracy organization or activist group is valued, but not required.
• Excellent listening and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong time management and organizational abilities.
• Ability to manage volunteers and coordinate multiple stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel regularly across the state; driver’s license is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain regular contact with partner organizations by phone and email about events and deadlines.
• Plan and manage voter contact events with local organizers and leaders.
• Build relationships with organizers and leaders of partner organizations.
• Communicate progress to partner organizations for accountability toward goals.
• Troubleshoot data/tool usage issues (VAN, Action Network, dialing, texting).
• Train and manage partner leaders and volunteers.
• Knock on doors and make phone calls.
• Represent MVT in coalitions and working groups as assigned.
• Assist in organizing major projects, including voter equity, registration, and rights events.
• Provide guidance to organizing fellows and interns.
• Other duties as assigned by the Field Director.
