Job summary

Talent Pros Recruiting Specialists is seeking a Field or Shop Technician II-Power in the Midland, TX area. Based at our Midland service center, you will perform preventive maintenance and repairs on diesel power generators, engines, electrical gear, HVAC, and related equipment.

You may work overtime or weekends and travel minimally. A high school diploma or GED and 4+ years' diesel power/generator experience are required, along with a valid driver’s license and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience working diesel power/natural gas generators and/or commercial industrial equipment, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
• Experience with calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, along with reading schematics.
• May be required to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Based in the Midland, TX area with potential overtime and weekends.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC, and oil free air compressors.

What youll do:

• Youll be based out of our Midland, TX, area.
• You will have an opportunity to work overtime and weekends, and there is a potential for minimal travel.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment and/or oil free air compressors.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and on customer locations and handle the repairs.
• You will either be out on your own or teamed up with other technician(s) to set up and operate equipment at the shop and on customer sites.

Requirements:
