Job summary

The Arizona Department of Public Safety is seeking Field Operations Technicians for the Globe area. You will support law enforcement and highway operations under supervision, coordinating a variety of tasks and assisting in emergencies.

Responsibilities include traffic control, incident response, and preparing detailed reports. A valid Arizona driver license is required, and you must obtain ACJIS certification within six months of hire.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• May require working nights, weekends, and irregular hours.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work outdoors in all weather.
• Travel extensively within Arizona.
• Must obtain ACJIS Terminal Operator Certification within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Patrol designated roadways to assist motorists, manage closures and detours.
• Respond to calls to assess situations and coordinate appropriate actions.
• Perform technical tasks such as collision investigations, UAV operations, and highway safety duties.
• Record detailed information in official reports and logs.
• Assist the public with on‑scene aid and traffic control.
• Testify in court using written records and case files.
• Support troopers with emergency and routine tasks.
• Carry out special assignments as directed.
