Job summary

Diversified Safety Services in Manassas, VA seeks a Field Operations Manager. You will oversee field teams, coordinate onboarding, and ensure project milestones, safety compliance, and effective communication with clients and staff. Travel is 100% and the role is full-time and exempt.

Responsibilities include site walks, quarterly virtual meetings, and managing staffing, equipment, and coverage to keep client work on track. Strong leadership and safety oversight are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Construction Management or related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years as field construction safety manager; at least 3 years as lead safety manager.
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; strong verbal and written communication.
• Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee field employees, manage day-to-day activities, and address employment and project questions.
• Maintain regular communication with employees and subcontractors; inform on hires, assignments, and start dates.
• Lead onboarding, supply distribution (PPE, laptops, equipment) and on-site coverage planning.
• Conduct monthly site walks; run quarterly Teams meetings to maintain engagement and accountability.
• Ensure evaluations at 30/60/90 days and annually; document performance and knowledge.
