Job summary

RWDY Inc. is seeking a Field Operator II to manage wells and production equipment while following established safety procedures. This on-site role requires local residency in Southeast Midland, TX and offers a daytime schedule with a 30-minute lunch break.

Qualifications

  • Completed secondary education.
  • Three years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Must reside locally within the Southeast Midland area.
  • Experience with ESP and plunger-lift operations.
  • Strong knowledge of safety and operations-management tools and processes.

Responsibilities

  • Implement daily operational objectives and maintain high standards for housekeeping, safety, health, environmental compliance, and security.
  • Participate actively in daily toolbox meetings and scheduled safety meetings.
  • Continuously monitor wells and equipment to identify and implement corrective or optimization actions that promote safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
  • Monitor current production rates and evaluate well-producing problems.
  • Ensure well diagnostics are thorough and complete before requesting Well Work intervention.
  • Operate and monitor wells utilizing gas lift, ESPs, and plunger lift systems.
  • Serve as an Equipment Care Technician and perform routine maintenance activities.
  • Coordinate, control, and monitor maintenance activities according to maintenance plans.
  • Ensure wellheads and surface equipment are maintained and in good working order.
  • Assist and support ongoing Well Work operations as required.
  • Report when alarms, emergency systems, or emergency shutdown systems are out of service.
  • Provide shift-change information to maintain operational continuity.
  • Record relevant operational events, abnormal conditions, and deviations.
  • Collect product samples for laboratory analysis and perform field laboratory testing.
  • Participate in emergency-response activities.
  • Report incidents internally and escalate as needed.
  • Keep the Operations Shift Supervisor informed and consult on activities.
  • Maintain effective communication across the work team.

Scope

The Field Operator II operates wells and production equipment by applying established operating and safety procedures to meet daily operational plans, reduce equipment failures, and support efficient resource utilization.

Responsibilities
  • Implement daily operational objectives and maintain high standards for housekeeping, safety, health, environmental compliance, and security.
  • Participate actively in daily toolbox meetings and scheduled safety meetings.
  • Continuously monitor wells and equipment to identify and implement corrective or optimization actions that promote safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
  • Monitor current production rates and evaluate well-producing problems.
  • Ensure well diagnostics are thorough and complete before requesting Well Work intervention.
  • Operate and monitor wells utilizing gas lift, electric submersible pumps (ESPs), and plunger lift systems.
  • Serve as an Equipment Care Technician and perform routine, basic maintenance activities.
  • Coordinate, control, and monitor maintenance activities according to corrective, predictive, and preventive maintenance plans.
  • Ensure wellheads and surface equipment are maintained and in good working order before responsibility is transferred to Well Work personnel.
  • Assist and support ongoing Well Work operations as required.
  • Report when alarms, emergency systems, or emergency shutdown systems are out of service.
  • Provide detailed, clear, and accurate shift-change information to maintain operational continuity.
  • Record relevant operational events, abnormal conditions, and deviations involving equipment, the work area, or personnel.

Skills and Qualifications
  • Completed secondary education.
  • Previous experience as a Field Technician, Lease Operator, Pumper, or similar production-operations professional.
  • Three years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Pumper and gas-lift experience.
  • Experience with ESP and plunger-lift operations.
  • Strong knowledge of pipeline and field production operations.
  • Strong knowledge of safety and operations-management tools and processes.
  • Broad knowledge of emergency-preparedness procedures.
  • Knowledge of applicable regulations, project philosophy, design specifications, and relevant commercial agreements.
  • Computer proficiency.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong Safety, Health, and Environmental aptitude with the ability to reinforce these standards among others.
  • Must reside locally within the Southeast Midland area.
