Job summary

Enidchamber seeks a Water/Wastewater Utility Assistant to support the City’s maintenance teams. You will handle hose operations, assist with inspections, and perform routine repairs under supervision. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and readiness to obtain required licenses within stated timelines.

Applicants should be prepared for a 8-hour shift, on-call duties, and compliance with safety requirements in outdoor environments. CDL and technical certifications are encouraged.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Six months related experience or training preferred.
• Willingness to obtain required licenses within stated timelines.
• May require CDL and safety certifications as noted.

Responsibilities

• Pull hose, operate jet nozzle and other vactor attachments under supervision.
• Assist with operation of camera equipment and maintenance tasks.
• Install and repair utility systems and set traffic measures around work areas.
• Measure distances and assess pipe and manhole sizes.
• Operate power tools and perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Respond to customer calls and assist other departments as needed.
• Perform other duties as required.
