Job summary

The Bergaila Companies in Baker, MT is seeking a Field Operator to support oilfield production and maintenance. You will work with compressors, pumps, ESPs, water injection systems, and related equipment to keep facilities running smoothly.

This position requires hands-on troubleshooting, adherence to safety practices, and the ability to read control systems such as EVIN, Cygnet, and SAP. Mon–Fri 6:30 AM–3:00 PM with overtime as needed.

What You'll Do

As a Field Operator, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a variety of oilfield equipment including compressors, pumps, ESPs, CTBs, water injection systems, and more. Your expertise will ensure the smooth and efficient operation of production facilities, water injection facilities, storage tanks, flare systems, and water treatment units. This role requires hands‑on work, problem‑solving skills, and the ability to operate and interpret control systems.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in maintaining and troubleshooting oilfield equipment such as centrifugal, positive displacement, and gear pumps
• Experience with pumping units, ESP controllers, regulators, and transmitters
• Ability to operate and understand control systems like EVIN, Cygnet, SAP, and MS Office
• Valid driver’s license and ability to work safely in adverse weather conditions
• Physical capability to climb stairs and ladders up to 20 feet
• Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills

Nice To Have Skills

• Familiarity with oilfield systems such as water injection, produced water facilities, and flare systems
• Experience with water treatment and filtration systems
• Additional certifications related to safety or equipment operation

Preferred Education And Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Prior experience in a similar oilfield environment
• Some technical training or coursework is a plus

Other Requirements

• Availability to work Monday through Friday, from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with occasional overtime or call‑outs
• Long-term commitment (12+ months) preferred
• Ability to work within a 60-mile radius of Baker, MT
