Job summary

Ledcor Technical Services is seeking a Field Operations Technician to perform restoration, maintenance, and installation. You will conduct MACD work on Nokia, Infinera and Ciena gear and test circuits with OTDR, delivering reliable service and customer satisfaction.

Role requires hands‑on field experience, ability to work independently, travel with a company vehicle, and adherence to Ledcor safety standards. A technical diploma is preferred and strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Five plus years of experience in telecommunications, business installation and service for electronics, appliances, security, and/or cabling.
• Customer-focused attitude with integrity, empathy, and sincerity.
• Degree or diploma from a technical college would be preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience working in the field independently and thriving in a dynamic environment.
• Clear and efficient verbal and written communication skills.

As a skilled Field Operations Technician, you will utilize your technical background to work on restoration activities, preventative maintenance, and installation. Your emphasis on building trust with clients and providing a best-in-class approach to customer service will be the foundation for success. You will perform installation, repair, configuration and testing of moves, additions, changes and disconnects (MACD) on various Nokia, Infinera, and Ciena equipment. Additionally, you will work with similar products to support customer optical, electrical, voice and data services. Lastly, you will test circuits using optical time domain reflectometers (OTDR).

Essential Responsibilities

Work Conditions

Will be expected to travel with a company provided vehicle
Able to meet the physical requirements of the position which involves sitting, standing, bending, climbing, lifting (up to 50 pounds), working at heights and in confined spaces such as attics and crawl spaces, as well as in all types of weather conditions (that are deemed safe)

Compensation

$52,800.00 - $72,600.00 This is the expected base pay range for this role. Individual base pay will be determined based on a variety of factors including experience, knowledge, skills, education and location.
