KC Harvey Environmental is seeking a Field Operations Superintendent to lead field crews on large environmental construction projects across the western United States. This field-based position requires extensive travel, extended stays in remote areas, and housing/per diem for qualifying

Qualifications

Our projects include large infrastructure development such as powerlines, pipelines, mines, wind farms, and oil and gas fields.As evidence-driven professionals, we’re committed to solving problems and finding paths forward, and we pursue interesting and challenging projects across the western United States.**Position Summary:**We are seeking a Superintendent to lead field operations on large-scale environmental construction projects across Nevada and Idaho, including transmission, pipeline, and renewable energy development.This position is responsible for managing multiple field crews, coordinating daily operations, and ensuring compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements.This is a hands-on leadership role, requiring both oversight and active participation in field work. The position involves extended travel and time in remote project locations.The successful candidate will ensure work is executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with project specifications, SWPPP requirements, and client expectations. Competitive pay: $80,000-$105,000 depending on experience, Per diem and housing for remote projects.**Position Responsibilities:*** Supervise and coordinate multiple field crews performing erosion control, reclamation, and restoration activities.* Oversee installation, maintenance, and removal of stormwater and erosion control BMPs, including wattles, silt fence, erosion blankets, and related controls.* Manage daily scheduling, crew deployment, and work sequencing in coordination with construction activities.* Order, track, and manage project materials, staging areas, and inventory.* Coordinate with clients, contractors, and inspectors to align work with project priorities and environmental requirements.* Monitor weather and site conditions to proactively manage stormwater risk and field operations.* Ensure all work complies with SWPPP requirements, permits, and environmental specifications.* Perform field troubleshooting and adjust operations based on real-time site conditions.* Assist with reclamation activities including soil preparation, seeding, stabilization, and restoration implementation.* Support plant salvage, revegetation, and vegetation management efforts as needed.* Utilize digital tools to track production, document work, and support reporting (GIS-based systems preferred).* Maintain accurate and timely project documentation, including field logs and material tracking.* Enforce safety policies and promote a strong safety culture, including stop-work authority when conditions are unsafe.* Maintain a professional and collaborative attitude with crews, clients, and project stakeholders.* Be available for extended workdays, early start times, and work in remote or rugged terrain.## Qualifications**KEY CAPABILITES/REQUIREMENTS:*** 5+ years of experience in field supervision on large infrastructure or environmental projects.* Experience managing multiple crews and coordinating field operations.* Strong working knowledge of: + SWPPP implementation and environmental compliance + Erosion control BMP installation and maintenance + Reclamation and restoration practices* Experience working on transmission lines, pipelines, or large linear projects preferred* Equipment operation experience (e.g., trucks, trailers, skid steers, tractors).* Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred or ability/willingness to obtain.* Strong organizational and communication skills.* Ability to travel extensively and stay in hotels or company housing for extended periods.* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform manual labor as needed.* Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather and rugged terrain.* Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.* Commitment to safety and environmental stewardship.* Experience with digital tools (tablets, GPS, GIS applications) preferred.* Strong commitment to safety and environmental stewardship.**WHY KC HARVEY*** Established, trusted contractor on major western infrastructure projects* Combination of science + field execution (not just one or the other)* Stable workload across multiple states and industries* Strong safety culture with proven performance* Opportunity to lead high-visibility projects with growing company.This is a full-time, field-based position requiring travel throughout Nevada, Idaho, and surrounding regions.
