Job summary

Kinder Morgan, Inc. seeks a field technician responsible for the operation and maintenance of pipelines, engines, pumps and related equipment across compressor stations and pipelines. You will perform repairs, ensure safety, and support maintenance crews in dynamic field conditions.

Role requires basic math, strong communication, and ability to work with customers and third-party personnel. Travel and after-hours support may be required in a large North American network.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent.
• Basic computer skills (MS Office, various operating systems, and other company software).
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, decimals).
• Knowledge of operating costs and best practices for equipment in area of responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Start, stop, and operate engines/pumps within defined parameters.
• Ensure cost-effective performance of engines, pumps, and equipment at stations, pipelines, and plants.
• Diagnose and repair engines, turbines, pumps, seals, valves and instruments.
• Install, repair, service, and maintain valves, pipe, and related equipment.
• Oversee maintenance of facilities and equipment including right-of-way and storage areas.
• Perform governmental compliance activities (DOT, EPA, USFS, etc.).
• Train and oversee company and third party personnel as required.
