Qualifications

  • Willingness to spend the majority of the week in the field and travel across Florida.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple active utility construction and field service projects across a regional territory.
  • Manage field execution across several crews, ensuring productivity, quality, and safety.
  • Spend approximately 75 percent of the time in the field supporting teams, coaching frontline leaders, and removing barriers to execution.
  • Direct production planning, workforce deployment, and resource allocation to meet shifting project needs.
  • Build strong relationships with clients through regular site presence, proactive communication, and dependable follow-through.
  • Monitor progress against schedules, commitments, and operational targets, adjusting plans as needed.
  • Oversee hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance management for field leadership and crew personnel.
  • Strengthen bench depth and team readiness to support growth across the market.
  • Champion a safety-first culture through field observations, jobsite discussions, audits, and accountability.
  • Ensure work aligns with procedures, customer expectations, and regulatory standards.
  • Use Excel and reporting tools to review production trends, crew output, staffing levels, and performance metrics.
  • Translate field data into action by identifying issues and partnering with teams to resolve root causes.

Our client is a fast-growing utility services organization investing heavily in stronger field leadership, better operational discipline, and long-term market expansion across Florida. They are seeking a hands-on Field Operations Manager to take ownership of day-to-day execution in a high-visibility leadership role. This is an opportunity for a driven operations leader who enjoys being in the field, building strong teams, solving problems in real time, and helping shape the next phase of growth in a business with meaningful advancement potential.

This position serves as the operational leader for a multi-crew utility construction and infrastructure program across Florida. The right candidate will be equally comfortable in the field and in planning discussions, leading teams, supporting clients, and keeping production, safety, and quality standards on track. This role is best suited for someone who is ambitious, promotable, and energized by a mix of field leadership, operational decision-making, and team development.

What You Will Do

Must Have Qualifications
  • 5 or more years of field operations, construction project management, program management, or related utility services leadership experience
  • Experience overseeing multiple crews, projects, job sites, or territories at the same time
  • Strong people leadership background, including coaching, team development, hiring support, and performance management
  • Demonstrated success balancing field execution, client needs, and operational priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong Excel, reporting, and data analysis skills, with the ability to use metrics to guide decisions
  • Ability and willingness to spend the majority of the week in the field and travel regularly throughout Florida
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, business, engineering, or a related field
  • Background with larger utility contractors, infrastructure services firms, or multi-site construction environments
  • Experience supporting utility, civil, right of way, vegetation management, or power delivery programs
  • Technical training, project management training, or related certifications
  • Experience scaling teams or supporting growth in a rapidly expanding organization
