Job summary

White Diamond Concrete is seeking an experienced Field Operations Manager to own field operations across commercial projects. You will lead foremen, coordinate crews and resources, and ensure safety, quality, production, and schedule are maintained.

This field-based leadership role requires regular jobsite visits and proactive problem solving. Candidates should read plans, plan work sequences, and manage manpower, equipment, and materials while maintaining tight budgets.

Qualifications

Role Description

We are looking for an experienced Field Operations Manager to take ownership of field operations across multiple commercial concrete projects. This position manages foremen, coordinates crews and resources, and holds field teams accountable for safety, quality, production, and schedule.

The right person understands concrete construction, plans ahead, and gives foremen the direction and support they need to keep projects moving. This is a field-based leadership role requiring regular jobsite visits, clear communication, and the ability to identify and resolve problems before they affect production or cost.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support foremen and field crews across multiple projects, setting clear expectations and holding teams accountable.
• Plan crew assignments, manpower, equipment, and material needs based on project schedules and priorities.
• Coordinate upcoming pours and confirm that crews, materials, equipment, and required inspections are ready.
• Review plans, specifications, and project scope with foremen to ensure work is understood and executed correctly.
• Monitor labor hours and production against project budgets, identify shortfalls, and take corrective action.
• Conduct regular site walks to check progress, workmanship, safety, and jobsite organization.
• Work with project management to communicate field conditions, schedule changes, scope questions, and additional work before proceeding.
• Maintain clear communication with general contractors, suppliers, and other trades.
• Develop foremen and crew members through coaching, practical guidance, and consistent follow-through.
• Enforce company safety standards and address unsafe conditions promptly.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading commercial concrete crews, with responsibility for foremen or multiple jobsites.
• Strong practical knowledge of concrete footings, foundation walls, slabs, and site concrete, including forming, reinforcement, placement, and finishing.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications and plan the sequence of work.
• Experience planning manpower, coordinating equipment and materials, and managing labor production against budgets.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to set expectations, address performance issues, and earn the respect of field teams.
• Ability to anticipate problems, make sound decisions, and follow through without constant oversight.
• Working knowledge of jobsite safety requirements and concrete quality control.
• Comfortable using scheduling tools, digital plans, and basic field reporting software.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between jobsites throughout the area.
