You will bridge field operations and leadership, ensuring readiness of tools, vehicles, parts, and documentation while coordinating with logistics, procurement, and scheduling. You will coach technicians, enforce codes and OSHA standards, review projects for quality, resolve issues that affect timelines, and help shape procedural best

Qualifications

• Proven experience as HVAC install team member and team lead.
• HVAC NATE certification preferred.
• Section 608 certification preferred.
• 5+ years in a management role overseeing field teams.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Familiarity with building codes and regulations.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Excellent English communications and customer service skills.
• Proficiency with scheduling software and field management tools.
• OSHA LOTO and OSHA electrical standards knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Ensure daily readiness of field teams by coordinating tools, equipment, vehicles, parts, and job documentation.
• Act as liaison between field crew and internal departments such as logistics, procurement, and scheduling.
• Conduct site visits to provide support, coaching, and quality assurance for active projects.
• Monitor and enforce safety standards and compliance with local codes.
• Identify operational obstacles and resolve issues impacting productivity or timelines.
• Conduct pre-installation walkthroughs to ensure project parameters.
• Maintain up-to-date staffing needs based on business inputs.
• Train and mentor field technicians to improve workmanship and customer service.
• Review completed installations to ensure quality and customer satisfaction.
• Support warranty and rework investigations and implement corrective action plans.
• Provide performance feedback and assist with evaluations of field team members.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and refine procedures and best practices.

The Opportunity:

We are looking for an extremely motivated and passionate HVAC professional with field operations management who would like to be a part of an exciting new company looking to fight climate change through disrupting the residential HVAC industry. This marks our expansion in the Portland market. The Field Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring that the HVAC installation teams are fully supported and equipped to perform their work safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This role bridges field operations and leadership, with a focus on readiness, resource allocation, and real-time problem-solving to drive team success. As we continue to iterate the processes and procedures that ensure the highest installation quality and efficiency, this role will play an integral role by contributing to the knowledge base.

What You Will Do:

• Maintain an up-to-date understanding of the staffing needs based relevant business inputs.

What You Bring:

• Proven experience as an HVAC install team member and team lead.
• HVAC NATE and Section 608 certification preferred.
• 5+ years in a management role, overseeing field teams.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems including heat pumps.
• Ability to lead, coach, and motivate field personnel.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Familiarity with building codes and regulations.

• Proficiency with scheduling software, mobile work apps, field management tools and general business tools expertise.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Follows OSHA Electrical Standard
• Follows the Occupational Safety and Health Administration's (OSHA) Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) standard

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $104,000 - $116,000 per annum
