Job description

The Field Operations Logistics Manager is responsible for procuring and coordinating temporary housing and approved ground transportation solutions for employees assigned to Divcon project sites throughout the United States. The role serves as the primary point of coordination for corporate apartments, extended-stay accommodations, rental vehicles, and related field logistics.

Working closely with Operations, Project Management, Fleet, Safety, Procurement, Legal, People/HR, field leadership, and external providers, this position converts project requirements into safe, suitable, and timely housing and transportation arrangements. Operations and Project Management retain responsibility for workforce scheduling, staffing decisions, employee rotations, and project deployment timing; this role coordinates logistics based on the requirements those teams provide.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary point of coordination for temporary housing and approved ground transportation supporting employees assigned to project sites.
  • Partner with Project Management to understand anticipated headcount, assignment dates, project locations, duration, accommodation requirements, and transportation needs.
  • Translate staffing and project information provided by Project Management into appropriate housing and transportation arrangements.
  • Source corporate apartments, extended-stay accommodations, and other temporary lodging options in current and future project markets.
  • Evaluate lodging based on proximity to the project site, employee safety, availability, assignment duration, amenities, transportation access, and overall suitability.
  • Coordinate leases, reservations, move-in and move-out requirements, utilities, furnishings, deposits, extensions, and terminations, and maintain accurate occupancy and expiration records.
  • Coordinate rental vehicles and other approved ground transportation between lodging, project sites, airports, and other operational locations as needed.
  • Maintain visibility of rental vehicle assignments, extensions, replacements, and returns, partnering with Fleet and Safety on driver eligibility, vehicle-use, insurance, and safety requirements.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with corporate housing providers, apartment communities, extended-stay providers, rental vehicle companies, and other field-logistics vendors.
  • Source new providers where needed, evaluate service quality and suitability, and partner with Procurement and Legal on agreements, leases, insurance requirements, and contractual review.
  • Communicate housing availability, occupancy, transportation arrangements, expirations, and required changes to project teams, field leaders, and affected employees.
  • Resolve housing and transportation concerns, including urgent lodging needs, vehicle breakdowns, replacements, accidents, or other service disruptions, with the appropriate internal teams.
  • Develop and maintain standardized request processes, checklists, templates, records, and communication tools that support consistent, scalable field logistics across multiple locations.
Qualifications:
  • Strong organizational and logistical coordination skills with the ability to manage housing and transportation needs across multiple project locations.
  • Ability to plan and execute arrangements using staffing and project information supplied by operational leaders while maintaining clear boundaries around scheduling ownership.
  • Strong vendor sourcing, negotiation, relationship-management, and service-recovery capabilities, with excellent attention to detail and recordkeeping discipline.
  • Ability to anticipate lease expirations, availability constraints, and transportation needs before they affect field employees or project operations.
  • Strong problem-solving, written communication, verbal communication, and customer-service skills, including the ability to respond effectively when requirements change.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with field employees, project managers, operations leaders, Fleet, Safety, Procurement, Legal, People/HR, and external vendors.
  • Ability to operate independently, exercise sound judgment, protect confidential information, manage competing priorities, and use Microsoft Office and related business systems proficiently.
Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations, Supply Chain, Hospitality, Logistics, or a related discipline preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Minimum 3+ years of related experience in logistics, corporate housing, hospitality, operations support, workforce accommodations, property management, or a related field.
  • Experience sourcing or coordinating temporary housing, corporate apartments, extended-stay accommodations, or similar lodging solutions strongly preferred.
  • Experience coordinating transportation or other field logistics across multiple geographic locations.
  • Demonstrated experience managing external vendors, coordinating service requirements, and resolving time-sensitive service issues.
  • Experience supporting construction, engineering, field service, manufacturing, data center, or another geographically distributed workforce preferred.
  • Experience developing standardized processes, tracking tools, and documentation for multi-location operational support preferred.
Physical Requirements:
  • Sit for extended periods (typically 6-8 hours per day) while performing computer-based tasks such as data entry, email responses, system updates, and vendor coordination.
  • Use hands and fingers to operate standard office equipment, including computers, keyboards, mice, telephones, scanners, printers, and calculators.
  • Occasionally stand, walk, bend, stoop, or reach to access files, retrieve materials, attend meetings, or inspect arrangements, and lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing up to 20-25 pounds.
  • Have sufficient vision, with or without correction, to read computer screens, printed documents, and small print, and sufficient hearing to communicate effectively by phone and in person.
  • Work primarily in a typical indoor office environment with moderate noise levels and occasional interruptions.
