Job summary

Clean Team Inc. in Greater Toledo, OH is seeking an Area Manager to oversee commercial cleaning operations across multiple client locations. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring field presence, staff supervision, and rapid issue resolution.

You will train teams, enforce safety and quality standards, manage scheduling and labor budgets, and coordinate with operations leadership to meet customer expectations. Strong communication and problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory or management experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience in commercial cleaning, facilities management, hospitality, retail, manufacturing, or another service-based operation can be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Direct and support cleaning employees across multiple customer locations.
• Train new employees on cleaning procedures, safety requirements, and customer expectations.
• Conduct routine quality inspections and ensure cleaning standards are consistently maintained.
• Coach employees and address performance, attendance, and policy concerns.
• Help ensure customer locations remain properly staffed.
• Respond quickly to call-offs and other operational issues.
• Monitor scheduled versus worked labor hours.
• Help maintain operations within established labor budgets.
• Communicate regularly with employees, customers, and operations leadership.
• Ensure company policies, safety procedures, and customer requirements are followed.
• Maintain supplies and equipment necessary to properly service assigned accounts.
• Identify problems and take ownership of finding solutions.
• Assist with employee retention by providing consistent leadership, communication, and support.
