Onterris seeks a Water Treatment System Operator in Corona, CA for a full-time role operating groundwater and vapor treatment plants and keeping equipment running to meet standards.

The position requires shift flexibility, site travel, and the ability to monitor systems, collect samples, and coordinate maintenance with subcontractors. A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of low-pressure steam boilers, water treatment equipment, and control systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills with focus on mechanical/electrical systems.
• Excellent time-management abilities.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license with clean MVR.
• Reliable transportation to travel to job sites.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate operation, maintenance, and repair of water treatment equipment and associated well field and support equipment.
• Perform and direct activities to meet codes, standards, and water treatment objectives.
• Operate and control motors, pumps, and valves for vapor and water treatment systems.
• Collect water samples and coordinate laboratory analysis.
• Self-perform periodic maintenance and manage subcontractors for specialized equipment service.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical process equipment for initial diagnostics.
• Promote a safety-first culture in all activities.
• Maintain effective communication with project team members.
• Plan and schedule work to meet required timelines.
• Maintain daily operations logs, inventory, site consumables, and vendor service contracts.
• Provide occasional off-hour remote monitoring and call-ins for system performance issues, including weekends.
• Work day/night shift rotations as required.

Position Overview

Water Treatment System Operator (Full‑time, 60 hours per week, $25/hour).

Location: Corona, CA. This role will maintain and operate groundwater and vapor treatment plants.

A Day in the Life

• Coordinate operation, maintenance, and repair of water treatment equipment and associated well field and support equipment.
• Perform and direct activities to meet codes, standards, and water treatment objectives.

Your Expertise and Skills

• Valid driver’s license with a clean motor‑vehicle record.
• Reliable transportation to travel to job sites.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in a similar role (preferred but not required).
• OSHA 40‑Hour Hazwoper certification.
