Job summary

The Montana Conservation Corps is seeking a Field Coordinator to lead regional field activities, train Crew Leaders and Crew Members, and uphold safety standards across adult, youth, and specialty programs. You will coordinate field logistics, develop technical trainings, and ensure project success with partner agencies.

As FC, you will visit crews in the field, support leadership development, monitor paperwork and incidents, and maintain strong communication among MCC offices and partners.

Qualifications

• Two years of college or military experience, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum age of 21 and leadership experience or training.
• Experience teaching or leading groups of young adults is essential.
• Current Wilderness Advanced First-Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain.
• Strong written and oral communication skills and teamwork ability.
• Experience with trail maintenance and natural resource work; Sawyer skills preferred.
• Ability to be away on overnight trips; valid driver’s license and background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and logistical support for trail maintenance and conservation projects.
• Develop project information sheets and emergency response plans.
• Manage regional inventory of vehicles, tools and gear.
• Model safety and professionalism; ensure MCC policy compliance.
• Support crews in the field and coordinate with project partners.
• Oversee regional trainings and participant wellness; conduct check-ins.
• Maintain and document field visits, timesheets, and incident reports.
