Job summary

BrightView Landscapes seeks a Site Superintendent to oversee field operations for commercial site development projects from inception to completion. You will coach staff, inspect field work, manage labor and subcontractors, and ensure on-time delivery within budget.

Requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field and 3+ years’ experience in landscape, concrete, irrigation, and construction production. Proficiency in MS Office and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture, civil engineering, Construction Science, Construction Management or related.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience with landscape, concrete, irrigation, and construction production techniques.
• Expert knowledge of construction tools, machinery, and equipment.
• Proficient with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong work ethic and effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Customer service experience.
• Bilingual (Spanish) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coach, evaluate, and train staff and field workers in landscape construction services.
• Inspect all field work; analyze and resolve problems.
• Manage labor and subcontractors to ensure labor budgets are on track.
• Maintain daily and weekly Foremen and Superintendent activity logs; update production tracking reports and generate related reports.
• Responsible for dispatch of labor and equipment to job sites.
• Manage equipment utilization on projects, equipment storage and maintenance.
• Ensure construction services are delivered according to contract specifications and drawings are within budget and on schedule.
• Collaborate with staff to meet and exceed customer expectations.
• Foster a positive “people oriented” environment.
• Evaluate employee safety data and promote safe work practices; attend weekly safety meetings.
• Model ethics and promote company culture.
