Job summary

Surveying And Mapping, LLC (SAM) is seeking a Field Coordinator to organize field supervision across multiple crews and projects. You will determine crew needs with Project Managers, build daily schedules, and manage timekeeping for accurate billing.

You’ll also coordinate fleet vehicles, equipment, and firmware updates, provide technical guidance, and support field staff with issue resolution. A strong, organized communicator is essential to success.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a field supervisor managing at least 5 crews.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and possible out-of-town work.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet MVR standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven work history, strong work ethic and team-player attitude.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Project Managers to determine field crew needs for each project.
• Create and adjust daily crew schedules; maintain weekly adjustments.
• Review and approve timesheets; assist with billing accuracy.
• Field calls from crews and public inquiries; determine best course of action.
• Allocate and coordinate fleet vehicles and equipment; manage maintenance.
• Provide hardware training and troubleshoot equipment as needed.
• Coordinate vendor purchases for field supplies and tools.
• Monitor crew performance and staffing decisions (hiring, compensation, training, promotions, discipline).
• Conduct site visits to ensure standards and procedures are followed.
• Assist Field Operations Manager with policy documentation and reports.
