Job summary

Tomorrow.io is seeking a Field Ops Engineer to join our on-site operations team supporting a flagship, fast-moving global weather project. You will deploy, calibrate, operate, and maintain weather systems across multiple international sites.

You will travel internationally (~60% of the year), collaborating with engineering, product, and meteorology teams, solving complex field challenges, and delivering reliable, safe field deployments while representing Tomorrow.io with professionalism.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Enterprise SaaS/B2B customer-facing roles.
• Hands-on with weather systems (stations, radars, monitoring gear).
• Valid international driver’s license and willingness to travel internationally.
• Willingness to travel ~60% of the year and access to major airports.
• Hands-on mindset to solve complex issues in dynamic environments.
• Ability to design solutions involving hardware, software, and data flows.
• Strong troubleshooting and decision-making skills.

We are seeking a Field Ops Engineer to join Tomorrow.io’s on-site technical operations for a high-profile, fast-moving global technology project. You’ll support the deployment, operation, and maintenance of Tomorrow.io’s weather systems, including radar and weather stations, ensuring everything runs smoothly and reliably across multiple international sites.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and execute on-site technical challenges during global operations.
• Manage the deployment, installation, calibration, operation, and disassembly of weather systems.
• Ensure technical readiness and uptime before, during, and after events.
• Support field logistics, including transporting equipment, setup coordination, and on-site troubleshooting.
• Serve as an on-site point of contact during field activities reflecting the field-centric nature of the job.
• Work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and meteorology teams to define configurations and integrations, and bring resolution to customer projects.
• Support customer discussions, clarify system capabilities, and document solution designs.
• Ensure deployed systems meet technical, operational, and customer needs.
• Represent Tomorrow.io in the field with professionalism, precision, and technical excellence.

What You Bring

• 3+ years of experience working in an Enterprise SaaS, B2B, customer-facing role.
• Hands-on experience with weather systems, such as weather stations, radars, or environmental monitoring equipment.
• Valid international driver’s license (or ability to obtain one), and comfort managing travel logistics and equipment transport.
• Willingness and ability to travel internationally at a significant frequency throughout the year (approximately ~60%).
• Reliable/practical access to a major international airport strongly preferred.
• Hands-on, practical mindset, able to solve complex issues in dynamic conditions.
• Ability to design solutions involving hardware, software, and data flows.
• Strong troubleshooting and decision-making skills in dynamic environments.
• Proven teamwork and coordination skills for working alongside a small field team.
• Clear communication and customer-facing technical presentation abilities.
• Independent, proactive, and resourceful - someone who gets things done.

Physical Requirements

This is a hands-on field role that involves working in dynamic, real-world environments. As part of day-to-day responsibilities, you may be required to:

• Lift, carry, and move equipment (including items over 40 lbs)
• Assemble and disassemble weather stations and related hardware
• Operate in outdoor environments (including heights) and varying weather conditions
