Job summary

Mass Electric Construction Co. (MEC) Internship in Field Operations offers hands-on learning in construction management, with exposure to field engineering, planning, cost control and scheduling.

As a Full Time Temporary intern, you will relocate as needed, work May–August, and support safety, quality, and teamwork while contributing to diverse projects nationwide. This paid internship includes a comprehensive benefits package and travel opportunities.

Qualifications

• Pursuing undergraduate or graduate degree in civil engineering, construction management or related field.
• Willingness to travel or relocate as needed for project assignments.
• Summer internship: May–August with full-time hours.

Responsibilities

• Field engineering, operation planning, cost control, and scheduling support.
• Assist with material procurement and procurement tracking.
• Review plans and specifications for material needs and pricing.
• Coordinate with suppliers to expedite deliveries and resolve issues.
• Maintain accurate job progress and cost records.
• Support safety and incident reporting to prevent injuries.
