Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a seasoned professional to own the structured cabling design for warehouse and distribution facilities. You will travel to site locations up to 70% to gather requirements, assess conditions, and define low voltage cabling needs in collaboration with operations and automation teams.

Responsibilities include creating detailed design packages, managing bid processes, and ensuring compliance with company standards while reviewing progress, tests, and as-built docs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in Network Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in structured cabling design or low voltage projects.
• Knowledge of copper and fiber cabling standards (TIA/EIA).
• Experience writing scopes of work and managing bids with third party integrators.
• Able to read architectural, electrical, or facility drawings.
• Willingness to travel up to 70% and work at active sites.
• BICSI certification (RCDD) preferred or plan to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Own the structured cabling design process end to end for warehouse and distribution facilities.
• Travel to sites up to 70% to conduct site walks and assess infrastructure.
• Partner with operations, facilities, construction, and automation teams to define cabling needs.
• Translate site requirements into detailed design packages with pathways and labeling.
• Develop scopes of work and bid packages for low voltage cabling projects.
• Manage competitive bid processes among qualified integrators and evaluate bids.
