Job summary

TEAM Industrial Services is seeking a Nondestructive Testing technician to independently perform inspections using various NDT techniques, interpret indications, and report results per company requirements. The role includes communicating processes and results to customers, and training apprentices under supervision.

Essential duties include maintaining a safe work environment, assisting the Sr. Technician, and pursuing NDT certifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• An understanding of basic math.
• Ability to work in Microsoft Word.
• Ability to work with computers / computerized equipment.
• Ability to read, understand, and communicate in English.
• Minimum 2 yrs experience in NDT field as a certified technician in at least 2 methods.
• Previous Certification to Level II in a minimum of one method (PT, MT, UT, RT, ET) preferred.
• Ability to handle chemicals in a safe manner.
• Ability to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe, secure and healthy environment by adhering to safety standards and practices.
• Perform duties as assigned and adhere to core values.
• Assist Sr. Technician and instruct apprentice level personnel.
• Study to gain NDT certifications while gaining hands-on experience in NDT methods.
• Perform duties as assigned by SR Technician on the job.
• Supervise apprentice level personnel on the job as needed.
• Maintain NDT certification.
• Perform NDT inspections for which certified.
• Interpret and report results of inspections and maintain documentation.
