Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb is seeking a Medical Science Liaison, Oncology – Melanoma and GI Tumors, Field - South Texas. The MSL will engage in peer-to-peer scientific dialogue with regional thought leaders and healthcare professionals, translating data into clinical insights to support patient care and the safe use of BMS therapies.

This field-based role involves cross-functional collaboration, training external speakers, and supporting pre- and peri-launch activities aligned to medical strategy.

Qualifications

• Advanced scientific or clinical degree (MD, PharmD, PhD, NP, PA, or equivalent).
• Experience in a scientific, clinical, or research environment.
• Strong oncology experience; GI experience preferred.
• Field medical experience is a plus.
• Understanding of Thought Leader engagement and healthcare landscape.
• Knowledge of clinical trial design, publications, regulatory requirements, and healthcare access.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with Thought Leaders (regional and national) through scientific exchange.
• Deliver educational updates in person and virtually.
• Provide training and support for external speakers.
• Support payer engagement during pre- and peri-launch phases.
• Identify research sites and support investigator-sponsored research.
• Lead and support clinical evidence communications and major data readouts.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders across matrix teams.
• Maintain field presence and document insights toward annual goals.
