Responsibilities

• Sell mortgage loans by building relationships with realtors, real estate agents, title and escrow officers, financial advisers, CPAs, and other professionals.
• Generate new business and maintain relationships with referral partners to generate customers.
• Attend closings, open houses, seminars, and other lead-generating activities as part of mortgage sales.
• Take borrower information and fill out the loan application.
• Analyze borrower income and debt to pre-qualify and determine affordable mortgage amounts.
• Counsel borrowers on loan products and explain how closing costs and monthly payments vary by product.
• Collect financial documents (tax returns, bank statements) and other required materials.
• Provide disclosures to borrowers, including truth in lending and good faith estimate.
• Guide borrowers through home buying and financing process and help clear credit problems as needed.
• Maintain regular contact with borrowers, realtors, and lenders from application to closing to update status and gather additional information.
