Job summary

U.S. Bank seeks a mortgage loan originator to source loans in an assigned non-bank territory. You will take applications, perform preliminary underwriting, and ensure documents are gathered for processing and closing.

Expect extensive travel away from bank locations, roughly half of your time spent meeting clients and promoting loan products. Required: NMLS registration under the S.A.F.E. Act, two+ years in Mortgage/Sales/Real Estate, and a strong sales orientation with solid communication

Qualifications

• Requires NMLS registration under S.A.F.E. Act and Regulation Z, plus ongoing compliance.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2+ years in Mortgage, Sales, or Real Estate experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Originate mortgage loans in an assigned non-bank territory.
• Take applications and conduct preliminary underwriting reviews.
• Submit loan applications to processing and underwriting for approval.
• Spend 50%+ of time conducting sales activities away from U.S. Bank locations.
