Job summary

U-Haul International, Inc. is seeking a Mobile Repair Specialist in San Antonio, TX. The role focuses on diagnosing and repairing equipment, maintaining parts inventory and following U-Haul standards while advancing within a large vehicle fleet.

You will operate with limited supervision, expanding skills through ongoing training, and contribute to timely maintenance of customers’ equipment and fleet reliability.

Qualifications

• Ability to work without supervision.
• Familiarity with diagnostic tools and automotive/trailer mechanics.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Willingness to continue equipment education and training.

Responsibilities

• Repair equipment using the appropriate tools to conform to U-Haul standards.
• Perform work in a timely manner.
• Determine the causes of operating errors and decide what to do about them.
• Continued U-Haul equipment education is required.
• Establish an effective route in the assigned area to repair all down or inoperable equipment and ensure that all equipment has been repaired or scheduled for repair.
• Maintain inventory of all repair parts and ensure that all parts used are charged out.
• Team Members are expected to willingly lend assistance in additional areas as necessary, following the directives and guidance of their supervisor.
