Job summary

U-Haul is seeking a Repair Specialist to maintain and repair trucks and trailers, using U-Haul’s tech tools in a field setting. This role emphasizes self-management and reliability, with opportunities to grow within a large equipment fleet.

Responsibilities include diagnosing issues, repairing equipment to U-Haul standards, and maintaining parts inventory, with training programs and benefits for eligible team members.

Qualifications

• Self-starter and able to work without supervision.
• Familiarity with diagnostic tools and automotive mechanics.
• Clean driving record and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Repair equipment using the appropriate tools to conform to U-Haul standards.
• Perform work in a timely manner.
• Determine the causes of operating errors and decide what to do about them.
• Continued U-Haul equipment education is required.
• Establish an effective route in the assigned area to repair all down or inoperable equipment and ensure that all equipment has been repaired or scheduled for repair.
• Maintain inventory of all repair parts and ensure that all parts used are charged out.
• Team Members are expected to willingly lend assistance in additional areas as necessary, following the directives and guidance of their supervisor.
