Job summary

McCarthy Tire Service is seeking an experienced Mobile Maintenance Mechanic in Hickory, NC. You will travel to customer locations to perform maintenance and repairs on trailers and medium- to heavy-duty trucks, delivering professional field service with a strong safety focus.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, welding experience, and a valid driver's license with the ability to pass a DOT physical.

Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and manage your time effectively.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance, including oil changes, lubrication, and routine servicing.
Diagnose and repair brake, suspension, electrical, and mechanical issues.
Perform repairs and maintenance on trailers and medium- to heavy-duty trucks.
Troubleshoot problems and identify effective repair solutions.
Travel to customer locations and perform mobile repairs in the field.
Provide professional, courteous customer service while working onsite.
Complete service calls safely, efficiently, and professionally.
Work occasional overtime and handle light after-hours service calls as needed.
Assist other team members and departments when needed.
