Job summary

The Edw. C. Levy Group of Companies is seeking a traveling Field Maintenance Millwright based at our Kentucky sites.

The role travels to Levy locations to process raw material through a slag processing plant and supports plant production, maintenance, and housekeeping. The position offers an hourly wage of $40-50 and comes with a competitive benefits package, tuition reimbursement, student loan repayment, and an employee referral program.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Mechanical aptitude including welding and basic electrical skills.
• Knowledge and ability to operate heavy equipment and crusher plant.
• Knowledge of crushing, screening, belts and conveyors.
• Knowledge of materials and specification requirements.
• Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, climb or crawl under or on top of or under equipment.
• Ability to manipulate components in hard to reach places with hands or tools.
• Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal format individually and in group settings.
• Valid Chauffeurs license or CDL class A with Air Brakes license or the ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Operate mobile equipment (including but not limited to excavator, loader, skidsteer, etc.)
• Feed portable plant with raw materials
• Stockpile materials around plant area
• Use machinery to regulate flow, quality, and size of materials to and from conveyors, crushers, and screens
• Inspect and dismantle machines and equipment to locate the causes of malfunctions and to correct the problem
• Keep the work area clean and tidy
• Maintain daily production reports
• Repair and replace defective parts
• Weld and fabricate various equipment and parts
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and plant
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor
